GPS Privacy and Work Verification
MopLedger uses location for a narrow purpose: recording whether a device is near the assigned work location when a user chooses to check in or complete a shift.
What is collected
The submitted coordinates, device-reported accuracy, submission time, assigned work location, and distance calculated by the server.
When it is collected
Location is requested when the user presses the check-in or complete-shift button. MopLedger does not continuously track the device in the background.
Who can see it
Authorized managers in the user's company can see work verification records. Authorized client users may see service proof for their own locations, but internal labor cost and access notes remain restricted.
Employer responsibility
Each company must provide any notice or obtain any consent required by local employment and privacy law. The company must configure building coordinates and geofence sizes accurately and provide a process for correcting disputed records.
